HR Technology(R) Conference Names Talent Management Shootout Contestants

Wednesday, August 27, 2008
- Authoria, Cornerstone OnDemand, Salary.com and Softscape Step Up for this
                          Year's Signature Event -

    HORSHAM, Pa., Aug. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Human Resource Executive(R)
Magazine today named the contestants for the software "Shootout" at the
publication's 11th Annual HR Technology(R) Conference & Exposition, being
held October 15-17 at McCormick Place in Chicago. The Conference's
signature event -- "The Industry's First Talent Management Shootout" --
will take place on October 16.

Authoria, Cornerstone OnDemand, Salary.com (Nasdaq: SLRY) and Softscape
will present custom software demonstrations based on a written script of HR
requirements to the session's audience, which is forecast to be about 1,000
HR practitioners, industry and financial analysts, consultants, and
vendors. Session attendees will vote electronically to decide the
Shootout's winner.

Thirteen companies took part in the two-month screening process to
select the contestants. Leighanne Levensaler, director of Talent Management
Research for Bersin & Associates, wrote the script with conference co-chair
Bill Kutik. Kutik is also the technology columnist for Human Resource
Executive(R) Magazine.

"This will be our 12th shootout in eight years," said Kutik, "and
Talent Management is certain to be our most popular yet. It's the hottest,
most competitive area in HR technology today."

He continued, "The Shootout has become our signature event because HR
professionals get to compare -- for the first and only time -- four
software systems doing the exact same thing in the same session, which is
something they'd never be able to orchestrate in their own offices. Plus,
our audience members love to cast their vote and this shootout gives them
the chance to weigh in on the features and functionality that are most
meaningful to them."

The Shootout script mainly focuses on the functions of performance
management, compensation, goal-setting and career development, and also
includes succession planning, learning and recruiting. Together, these
applications have become known as the Talent Management suite.
